About Me

I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Argosy University of Hawaii. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have eight years of experience in community mental health. As a former National Guard reservist, I worked with Yellow Ribbon to help families and service members through pre-deployment and deployment stresses with resources, training, and psychological assistance. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents on a variety of issues to include trauma (sexual, physical, and emotional), depression, anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem, grief, acculturation, and suicidal thoughts. I am bilingual in Spanish with expertise in applying Bowen intergenerational therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) approaches to promote individuals health and growth. I am trained on issues affecting Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Individuals and Couples. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State (MFT.LF.60995245).
